Early Bird Registration for 2018

Under 9s – 17s and Youth Girls

Though next year seems a long way off we need to start planning teams and numbers and will be taking Early Bird Registrations on Presentation Day between 11.30 – 12.30 and 2.00 – 2.30pm. Registration Fees for 2018 are still being finalised but likely to be $170. As an incentive, anyone who registers and pays a $50 deposit (per player / family) on Presentation Day will receive:

  • Fees capped at $150 for 2018 Season
  • A Kangaroos 2018 sublimated Training Shirt (including name and number) valued at $35
  • Entry into draw for Giants Football signed by the entire 2017 Giants Squad and Giants 3 game family membership for 2018 season.

Early Bird Registration (including Training Shirt) will continue to be available until December 15th after which fees will increase and training shirts can be ordered at a cost of $35 each.

As details for Auskick are not finalised from AFL for 2018 season we are unsure of cost of registration at this stage but we would like to offer Auskick participants the opportunity to Register for 2018 at Presentation Day. If you register on the day and pay a $20 deposit (per player / family) you will receive

  • Entry into draw for Giants Football signed by the entire 2017 Giants Squad and Giants 3 game family membership for 2018 season.

Active Kids Voucher

You May be aware that in this year’s Budget the NSW Government announced the Active Kids Voucher Program to encourage kids to play sport and help reduce costs to parents. A voucher to the value of $100 is being provided for every child and AFL NSW/ACT has been working closely with the NSW Office of Sport & Service NSW to finalise the exact process around how AFL players and Clubs can benefit from the new program.

A couple of key points of the new program:

  • From 31 January (originally communicated as Jan 1st), parents will need to apply for a voucher number online with Service NSW.  Access to the voucher will begin for registration payments made from January 31.
  • This voucher number will then be redeemed at time of payment of your Club registration (Via Sports TG/Footyweb).  The $100 amount is not a rebate, and cannot be claimed post payment

What this means….whilst still being finalised we believe that that you will either be able to enter voucher number provided by Service NSW into On -Line Registration system or give to the club to enter. This $100 will then be deducted from any registration fees payable and the club will receive this money direct from Government.

As this is not a rebate and cannot be claimed after a payment is made we suggest that if you plan to use this voucher for AFL registrations (please do!!!) take up the Early Bird offer on Presentation Day or before December 15th pay your $50 deposit and no more $$$$ required for 2018 season.

We will keep you updated on this voucher over the off season.
